I recently hosted a FREE 5 day Tracking Macros training via Facebook. If you missed it, now is your chance to get some inside scoop on macros and whether or not you should look deeper into tracking them.
Here’s a checklist to see if it’s time to start paying more attention to those macros each day:
Are you craving chocolate or salty chips every day? If you feel addicted to snacks or treats, it may be time to start tracking. It will not only give you a visual of what those treats are doing to your macros, it will show you where you are in a macro deficit as well.
90% of my clients come to me at their initial consultation and say “I eat fairly healthy most of the time”. However, once we get into looking at all 3 macronutrients, they quickly realize they were NOT eating healthy at all. One of my favorite things is showing a client how to track macros, then teaching them how to tweak their macros to take their health to the next level. The fun part is seeing that you can eat MORE calories and drop those last 10-20 pounds easily.
If you eat simply because it’s breakfast, or lunch and you try to pick healthy choices, but other than that you have no idea how your macros fit with your meals, it’s time to take a better look. Most likely you are deficient in one area even if you feel you are making good choices.
Are you someone who doesn’t like the idea of depriving yourself week after week of your favorite treats and drinks? Flexible dieting or IIFYM is an easy way to incorporate your favorite treats all while losing that weight that’s been holding you back. When you track your macros, you know where you have margin to fit those in. I do this on a daily basis and teach my Burn Fat and Feast clients how to incorporate these in daily as well.
Nobody enjoys cutting calories, which is why traditional diets fail. In my opinion, cutting calories and cutting your portion sizes is no way to live a happy fulfilled life. It surprises most of my clients at first to see their calorie count when we begin the Burn Fat and Feast program. Although we don’t count calories, we use that as a guide with our macros. I personally eat up to 2,000 calories a few days a week. that may sound like a lot, but when you fuel your body with proper nutrients, it craves more of them. Let’s look at our history of cutting calories, it never works long term. It’s time to take a different approach, stop depriving ourselves and live our best life.
Lastly, I invite you to take a step further and accelerate your fat burning while gaining lean muscle, in our next round of Burn Fat and Feast. Space is limited each month in this interactive 7 week program.
In Burn Fat and Feast, we discuss the WHY behind macros, when to eat and why we eat certain amounts of macros and learn an advanced macro tracking system for you to utilize for a lifetime.
I’m often asked about average weight loss in my program. 90% of clients lose 10-15 pounds as well as inches in first round and another 5-15 pounds as well as inches in the followup ELITE program. Repeat clients continue to see and feel results every time.
Remind yourself each day to strive for progress over perfection. Happy macro counting friends!
