Can I continue with my current workouts during the Burn Fat and Feast program?

Over the past few months, I have received this question from potential clients who are interested in learning more about my Burn Fat and Feast program. This question typically comes from clients who are active and enjoying various gym workouts and even home fitness programs. They are in a good groove or routine with fitness, but are also interested in seeing and feeling more results. They simply want to know if they can still engage in their favorite workouts during the program.

The Burn Fat and Feast program was originally created by me, for me. As a personally trainer, fitness instructor and nutrition coach, I needed a change. I was that girl who I see come to me every single month. I was active, teaching classes, training clients and eating a healthy diet; however, I wasn’t seeing the change in my body I wanted nor was I feeling energized. As I dug deep into research, I realized a few tweaks, eating more and actually working out less, may be my answer.

At the time, I was teaching 12-18 classes a week at our local gyms as well as in the community. I was the textbook definition of over training. I had it in my head that more was better when it came to working out, and boy was a wrong! I since have scaled down my teaching schedule and only teach 6 classes a week, some of which I don’t actually engage in with full effort (it’s not my workout anyway, I’m there for the participants to get a safe and effective workout).

I am very deliberate now with my home workouts and scheduling in exactly what I’m going to do, when I’m going to do it and how I’m pairing my nutrition with each workout. I spend 30-45 minutes working out for myself 5-6 days a week rather than the 1 and a half to 2 hours a day I was doing a few years ago. The end result has been a game changer! I have energy all day, I’m never hungry, I don’t binge and I spend less time working out and more time with my family. It’s been a huge win!

Each month I have potential clients reach out to me and ask if they can continue with their current workout routine while completing my Burn Fat and Feast program. These women truly speak to my heart. It makes me so happy to hear someone say they found a workout they love whether that’s at a studio, gym or in the privacy of their own home. In the fitness world, we lovingly call these workouts our “soulmate workout”. If you are currently active, you know what that is to you.

I would never tell a client to stop doing something they love…well at least workout related. So when I have clients ask about continuing with their favorites, we absolutely incorporate these into the Burn Fat and Feast program. There are days were your favorite indoor cycling class or bootcamp or barre class will fit better than others though, so we often simply tweak your workout or nutrition schedule to get great results.

Now here’s the tough love part…unfortunately, most times our soulmate workouts are the ones that are the easiest for us, are the most fun and as a result we don’t burn the amount of calories we could with something else. Now again, I would never tell a client to refrain from their favorite, but I do highly recommend changing it up during the Burn Fat and Feast program. I have many clients each month who complete a combination of their favorite workouts and my personal workouts I have created for the program. Runners are some of my favorite clients. We easily tweak running schedules to fit with the program and runners end up stronger and faster at the end of the 6 weeks.

Keep in mind as well with your workouts that if you continue to do what you have always done, you will continue to see what you always have. The reality is that if what you were currently doing was working, you wouldn’t be thinking of joining the Burn Fat and Feast program.

Variety is absolutely essential when you are on a mission to change your body composition. This is why I incorporate cardio, high intensity interval training, strength training with weights, strength training with body weight, pilates, yoga, barre, bootcamp, full body circuits, agility work and so much more! You will never find yourself bored or lacking variety in Burn Fat and Feast. In fact, you will receive over 20 different workouts to add to your current fitness library. My workouts are very different from most trainers. You should expect to not only receive a written version, but a video link as well where I am personally completing the workout along side you. Anyone can write a workout with squats, lunges and deadlifts; the Burn Fat and Feast workouts go above and beyond.

The Burn Fat and Feast program is designed for women who not only desire change, but are open to change and committed to creating a new lifestyle. My favorite part of the program is the flexibility. We always work together to find the system and schedule that works best for you and your current season of life. Whatever workout it is that you love, you can absolutely continue doing it through the Burn Fat and Feast program!
