If you’re ready to start sculpting and toning your legs, with a workout that focuses on the lower half, you’re in the right place! I put together a fun workout that combines four moves, where we increase the weight with each superset. Your thighs and booty will be burning by the time you get to the heavy weights but that’s where you’ll see the results. Push yourself using weights that feel comfortable to get through each set but challenging enough to be really pushing yourself hard once you get to that last set with your heaviest weight! In this video, I do the ENTIRE routine with you. Come hang out with me for 10 minutes and feel awesome after! If you can’t get the routine in now, pin the bottom image on this blog so you can come back to it anytime. Let’s go!
Equipment Needed: Light Dumbbells, Medium Dumbbells, Heavy Dumbbells (use whatever levels feel right for you! Between 5-20 pounds is a great range). You’ll also need a chair or a step up!
BEST EXERCISES FOR TONED LEGS
1. SUPERSET: 1) STEP UP AND LUNGE BACK 2) SUMO SQUAT
– Set 1: 15 of each move using light weights – – Set 2: 12 of each move using medium weights – – Set 3: 8 of each move using heavy weights – For the step up and lunge back, set yourself up in front of your chair or step-up to start. Step up and lift your knee at the top, followed by moving in a reverse lunge off the step up. Make sure to stand up tall in your torso and engage your core the whole time! Keep those weights in your hands and hold them together as one weight. Sumo squat by getting deep into a squat and squeeze the booty to make this move really work for you. For the next 2 rounds, increase your weights and decrease your reps!
2. SUPERSET: 1.) DEADLIFTS 2.) GROUCHO WALK
– Set 1: 15 of each move using light weights – – Set 1: 12 of each move using medium weights – – Set 3: 8 of each move using heavy weights – For your deadlift, squeeze and lift using those weights as a way to challenge your muscle and tone up! If you aren’t familiar with a groucho walk, take a look at the youtube video here to see this move in action. When you are doing the groucho walk, try to sustain the burn and stay in those legs to really challenge your muscles. Are you burning?! I thought so! Great job pushing yourself to get through this short but challenging superset routine. Let me know in the comments how the workout went for you and if you have any questions at all. Come back soon for another workout! P.S. Can’t get your workout but want to do it later? I’ve got you. Pin this for later so you can do it anytime!
